The first event is the ASEAN Culinary Festival, held in the main atrium of the largest mall in the area of Kuta. The mall visitors can sit relax enjoy cooking demonstrations and tasting various foods are formulated chefs from various countries.
Despite bearing the name of ASEAN, but not only the ASEAN countries cuisine featured at this festival. Some chefs from countries outside Southeast Asia, like Russia, as well skill performance.
This is of course in accordance with the spirit of the East Asia Summit to be held this week in Nusa Dua after the ASEAN summit was over. Russia became one of the countries that followed the summit.
In the backyard Discovery Mall, Kuta Beach on the sand with a backdrop of blue waters of the Indian Ocean shade, also held the party music of ASEAN, the ASEAN Youth Cultural Exchange titled. The event was held on November 11 to 13 bands featured young people from Indonesia and from other ASEAN member countries, like Cambodia.

Unfortunately, the event is the ASEAN socio-cultural relationships are held too far from the core event of the summit itself.
